Our Story
We set the standard in loan management and investments.
In 2008, business partners John Ingoglia and Adham Sbeih founded Socotra Capital with the goal of providing consistent, reliable, and fast hard money loans to borrowers of all backgrounds across the country.
The business quickly grew into the premier private lenders that our borrowers know today, with over 2,000 completed loans and over $2 billion in completed loan deals. In an ever-changing financial marketplace, Socotra Capital serves the needs of real estate professionals who are denied by traditional lenders.

In Memory of John Ingoglia
In honor of our founding partner, John Ingoglia.
We would not be the company we are today without John Ingoglia, a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, partner, mentor, and friend to so many.
John's energy and attitude towards every aspect of his life are what made him so loved by so many. John loved to work out, box, practice mixed martial arts, and was learning Chinese with his son. One of his greatest passions was his business, Socotra Capital; he often referred to himself as "Hard Money John" when attending events and meeting with clients.
John loved to work on any deal, always seeking a "win-win" solution for all stakeholders, whether they were a broker, borrower, or investor. His enthusiasm and attitude will be his enduring legacy, having fostered a culture that "seeks to understand before seeking to be understood." We will miss his wit, energy, bravado, and fortitude. He was truly a unique individual, a force of nature. John's lasting legacy is the impact he had on all of us and the culture he helped instill at Socotra Capital.
